Banned Illegitimately

So, I was on this server yesterday. I love this server. It takes me a long time to find a server I like, so I was pretty happy when I found ConspiracyCraft. Anyway, I installed a derp mod and used it just to be funny. I honestly didn't think it was frowned upon considering that it isn't at all unfair to other players. Somebody (Chandler, I think) told me it was still considered a hack and therefore bannable, so I stopped.
Well, I got on today, and after reading the message about the reset, I went home and 'packed my bags' so to speak. After I gathered what I wanted, I made trips back and forth from spawn giving the rest of my stuff away. So I'm standing there, giving away a full inventory of cobble, and BAM. Banned for Derp Hacks. Why? I had a warning, and I stopped. YESTERDAY. I really don't see why I was banned.
